Get to Know Your Pharmacists

Amanda King, PharmD and Breanna Jackson, PharmD MPH have backgrounds in hospital based transitions of care and ambulatory pharmacy practice settings. We have acquired a unique skill set to help patients and physicians optimize medication treatment.

Amanda King,
Pharm D

Amanda King obtained a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University and went on to graduate with a doctorate of pharmacy from the Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy. She has a background in hospital based transitions of care, with special attention on the collection of accurate home medication lists upon a person’s admission to a hospital; reviewing patient’s profiles to ensure appropriate medications for the patients’ needs at their next level of care. Amanda has experience  working with patients having various medical conditions and taking anywhere from no medication to 30+ medications. She is a member of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, BLS and ACLS certified, an affiliate faculty member (aka precepts students) for both Auburn HCOP and Samford Pharmacy School.

Breanna Jackson,
Pharm D, MPH

Breanna Jackson earned a B.S. in Biology from Mercer University and a B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Samford University. She then went on to complete a dual program obtaining a Master of Public Health from Samford University and a Doctor of Pharmacy from McWhorter School of Pharmacy. With a background in hospital based transitions of care and outpatient retail pharmacy she expanded into a role in an outpatient ambulatory care pharmacy practice. Breanna has experience working in a variety of settings to help patients achieve an optimized medication regimen and help patients with access to medications.
